Lets take todays instance (24/08/2023) and I purchased 3000 amount (60 heaps) NIFTY 19500 PE at 50 Rs within the morning and the NIFTY on expiry closes at 19400. That is NOT closed and left it to run out at 100 Rs, as NIFTY closed at 19400.
For this commerce:
What could be the STT charged on this commerce?
Would there be any brokerage charged by Zerodha whereas settling this commerce, if sure, how a lot would that be?
@ShubhS9
As per the situation given, the choice expires at ITM. Based mostly on this moneyness:

STT on exercised contract = 0.125% of intrinsic worth = 0.125% * 3000 qty * 100 = Rs. 375

Each time choices expire at ITM, a brokerage of Rs. 20 per order applies to each side—i.e., the entry commerce and the exit, which is settled by the Trade.

What occurs if the choice contract is just not squared off on the expiry date?

Thanks a lot for the replies.
Is my understanding right, primarily the brokerage half?
STT will likely be on the entire intrinsic worth and never simply the 50 Rs. earnings?(0.125/100) * 3000 * 100 (Intrinsic worth) = 375
The explanation why I requested about brokerage was, as there are 60 heaps or 3000 amount, whereas exercising the brokerage will likely be per order and order principally will likely be 3000 / 2 (as max amount that may be traded is 1800), so train brokerage is 40 Rs.?
Recognize the clarification.

Proper. STT will likely be on the intrinsic worth not on the revenue.

Brokerage will likely be Rs. 20 per order no matter the amount. Taking the above instance, will probably be Rs. 20, not Rs. 40.
