(Reuters) – The benchmark and the Nasdaq opened larger on Thursday, boosted by features in chips and megacap shares, whereas traders watched out for clues on the timing of the Fed’s price cuts and the financial outlook, as extra earnings roll in.
The S&P 500 opened larger by 20.89 factors, or 0.44%, at 4,760.10, whereas the gained 138.90 factors, or 0.93%, to 14,994.52 on the opening bell.
The fell 109.14 factors, or 0.29%, on the open to 37,157.81.
